**LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE**

Thank you to those that have registered for Hub Soccer of Denville’s Spring Recreation Soccer season. We are on track to have a great season, but we wanted to address a few questions we have received about the changes to our program this season. Hub Soccer of Denville is the largest youth sports organization in Denville, providing a wide variety of fun, engaging, and challenging soccer programs to over 700 players each year. Our program is run by an all-volunteer board and volunteer parent coaches to support our teams. Our volunteers have been, and will continue to be, the heart and soul of our program! While we have some incredible volunteer coaches, it has become more and more difficult to recruit parent volunteer coaches. These difficulties result in delays in forming teams, delays in scheduling practices, nearly having to cancel certain age groups, and inconsistencies in the program. Over the past several years, we have evaluated several options and found the Red Bulls Youth Programs to be aligned with Hub Soccer’s philosophy of “Let the kids have fun.” This is accomplished through a structured program that will challenge our players while continuing to build their skills. Kids should learn soccer skills, sportsmanship, and team play. With that being said, we want to clarify a few questions about our Red Bulls partnership and professional trainers for our recreation program.

  • Recreation soccer is still RECREATION soccer. The goal of this program is to let the kids have fun while teaching them soccer skills, sportsmanship and team play. Our focus and mission will not change!
  • Parent volunteer coaches will still be a crucial part of our program. They will be running the teams on Saturdays and are encouraged to be involved with the practices. Our parent volunteer coaches are the heart and soul of our program!
  • All Red Bulls trainers are licensed, certified, experienced, insured and background checked.  The Red Bulls have a process to verify their soccer knowledge and ensure their ability to work with children is up to their standards. They are also provided weekly training from the Red Bulls.
  • Hub Soccer of Denville has worked with the Red Bulls trainers in the Fall of 2022 and Winter of 2023. Feedback from parents has been very positive.

Just so you know, we have expanded to offer High School aged recreation teams in the Rockaway Valley Soccer League (RVSL). To register, please click the link below. High School teams will be contingent upon having enough players.

Hub Soccer of Denville is excited to announce our NEW and ENHANCED Spring Recreation Soccer Program. Our Spring recreation program will now include Red Bulls professional trainers for Pre-K through 4th grade and professional trainers for our 5th-8th grade players. As part of our partnership with the Red Bulls Youth Program, the Red Bulls training staff will be hosting a free virtual education event for Hub Soccer parents and coaching and each recreation player will receive a complimentary ticket to a Red Bulls MLS regular season match.
For registered players looking for additional training opportunities, we’re excited to offer our Advanced Training Academy on Friday evenings with Red Bulls trainers. Please note that the Advanced Training Academy has a separate registration link included below.

Please read the important information below before registering. PLEASE REGISTER BY MARCH 2 TO ENSURE A ROSTER SPOT FOR YOUR CHILD.

RECREATION SOCCER –
Munchkin Division Clinic (Age 3.5, 4 & 5) – Munchkins play Saturdays and Tuesdays at 1:00 PM. This is a clinic venue for learning basic soccer skills with fun games and activities. Participation is limited to 40 players so do not wait to register. You can do both days or one day. The cost is the same. The cost for Munchkin Soccer is $90 per player.
PreK, Kindergarten, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th – These grades will be trained by Red Bulls trainers. There will be 1 night of practice and games on Saturdays. Red Bulls trainers will also be at the games. We need a parent coach/administrator for each team to handle communications, assist the trainer as needed, and help at Saturday games.

Divisions 3 & 4 (Grades 5/6/7/8 and High School) – These divisions will participate in the Rockaway Valley Soccer League (RVSL), practice 2 nights a week, and play games on Saturdays. Professional trainers will train and coach these teams. The schedule is TBD.
Schedule > PreK, Kindergarten, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th – The schedule for these grades is pre-set and included below. Having a fixed schedule now facilitates families planning and committing to other spring activities and improving our program with professional training for recreation players. Each division has multiple practice days, but your child will only be assigned 1 day. If you have a request for your child to practice on a certain night, please indicate that on your registration form Special Request section. We will try our best to accommodate. As always, if the schedule does not work out for you after registering and before we start, you can get a full refund.
