GRADES: PreK–2nd: PreKs must be age 4 by 4/1/25 to participate. Grades PreK–4th will have Red Bulls trainers for weeknight practices.
RVSL GRADES 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 & High School: These teams play in the Rockaway Valley Soccer League. RVSL teams will have certified/licensed professional trainers. A parent manager is needed for each team. We need 40 3rd/4th graders to play in town. Otherwise, they will play in the RVSL as in the fall.
MUNCHKIN DIVISION: a clinic venue that is fast-paced with skill development in a fun-oriented 45-minute session for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds. Saturdays and Tuesdays at 1:00 PM. You can do both days or just one. The cost is the same. Munchkins play Tuesdays at the Veterans Field 10 ATF #1 and Saturdays at Upper Knuth front soccer field.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: March 7, 6:00 PM.
LATE REGISTRATION: We have caps on roster sizes once the number of teams are in place. We will take registrations until the roster cap is met. Please register early to ensure your child plays! There are no late fees! We recommend you register after reading this newsletter so your child does not miss out. Once team rosters are full, we cannot add players.
SEASON START/END DATE: April 12th, and the end date is TBA depending on the number of teams, length of game schedule, and weather. Most likely the first or second Saturday in June.
PRACTICE & GAME SCHEDULE: Will not be available until early April. Games are on Saturday mornings to early afternoons. Practices are weeknights.

REFUND POLICY: Refunds requested after March 14 will be 70% of the registration fee to cover a variety of player expenses. There are no refunds after the season starts.
UNIFORMS: All recreation players will receive a uniform (shorts, socks, shirt/jersey)
RED BULLS TRAINER/ PLAYER RATIO: We have reduced the number of players per trainer for practices to improve the trainer/player ratio. Trainers are no longer at Saturday games. This results in having a parent coach supervising PreK-Division 5 games. Duties will be a quick warm-up before the game starts, doing the line-up and subbing at each quarter. We will provide you with necessary equipment and a clinic.
REGISTRATION COST: The cost for the spring season is $160.00. There is a family discount for 2 or more players.
UPDATED 2/18/2025:
Our initial spring soccer newsletter did not include detailed information for grades 3 and 4 playing in the RVSL (Rockaway Valley Soccer League) and a higher registration cost. We apologize for it and any inconvenience. Here is info, including registration cost, to play in the RVSL:
* Last fall we did not have enough 3rd and 4th grade (Division 5) players to form at least 4 teams to play at home. Fortunately, we were able to put this age group in the Rockaway Valley Soccer League. If we do not have enough players for an in-town game venue, they will play in the RVSL spring soccer program. We have had grades 5 > high school playing RVSL Soccer for over 15 years. This was preferable to parents and players instead of a sandlot soccer program (choosing teams on Saturdays for a scrimmage). Overall, it has been a good venue.
* The RVSL is a league for Morris County towns that do not have enough players for an in-town recreation program. Games are played in Denville and at other town fields. Schedule for games and practices are TBD.
* The cost for the RVSL is higher than recreation fees for PreK > Division 6 because of league fees, NJYS registration fees, referee fees, trainers at games and twice a week practices for older teams.
* Rosters are structured by year of birth. Until registration is completed, we are not able to create teams to roster players, have balanced teams and subsequent parity for their age group.
* Registration Costs – Grades 3 > 7 are $225 (Trainer 1 night a week and at the home or away game on Saturdays).
* Registration Cost – Grades 8 > High School are $250 (Trainer 2 nights a week and at the home or away game on Saturdays).
Register early and by the deadline! This will enable us to make a decision to play at home with at least 4 teams or ensure timely registration in the RVSL if needed.
