Parents – Thanks for participating in our spring soccer season. Our #1 priority is making sure our players and spectators are safe, so some important reminders are:

SLIDE TACKLING: There is no slide tackling in recreation soccer. Our referee director will be reinforcing with our refs how infractions are handled, including

yellow or red carding players if necessary.

JEWELRY: Jewelry is not permitted at all levels of soccer. This includes, but not limited to, earrings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, plastic or rubber wrist bands, rings, body piercings, etc. Players wearing them will have to have them removed before they can participate. Taped earrings are no longer allowed.

LONG HAIR: Players with long hair should have it tied back or wear a headband to keep it out of their eyes.

SHIN GUARDS: Players should wear them for practices and games with soccer socks over the guards. Munchkins and Challengers do not require shin guards because they do not play games.

PARENT AND OTHER LOCATION AT GAMES: The seating/standing location for games is 4 to 5 feet from the sideline.

PLAYERS NOT PLAYING LOCATION: Players not playing should be at least 2 feet from the sideline. Players during the game should remain on the sideline with their parent coach and teammates.

HYDRATION: Players should stay hydrated throughout the week.

GOAL & NET DANGER: No climbing on goals or nets; no sticking hands or heads through them. Yes, this has happened in the past!
